Job Description:

Amherst College invites applications for the Athletic Department Assistant position. The Athletic Department Assistant is a part-time, casual position with no benefits. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $20 - $22 per hour.

The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations.

The Athletic Department Assistant provides part-time administrative support for the financial and business operation of the athletic department. This position will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including coordinating travel for athletic teams, processing invoices and expenses, and other general clerical tasks in support of the department. In addition, this position provides administrative and event support for postseason NESCAC and NCAA events. This position works in collaboration with the Associate Director of Athletics and other administrators to ensure smooth operation of the athletic department.

The Athletic Department Assistant position calls for an enthusiastic, flexible individual who can assist the department with administrative tasks and work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues. The Athletic Department Assistant takes appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College’s efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
