Under the Content Services unit leader, the position will be responsible for developing and executing all graphic design needs, concepts and projects for the University of Houston Department of Athletics.
- Develops, implements and supervises the daily operations of the Graphics Design Unit.
- Collaborates across teams to ensure a cohesive look across all assets and brings new design ideas and creative solutions for the growing Houston Athletics brand.
- Completes graphic design projects as assigned including original creation or edits of campaigns, signage, event collateral social media and web graphics within University brand guidelines.
- Manages the department request process for design projects received from across the organization.
- Produces compelling visual assets across various platforms that engage and inspires a diverse and passionate fan base, while ensuring brand consistency.
- Provides art direction as needed for internal and outsourced projects and makes recommendations to satisfy the project and drive the brand.
- In all settings and in all situations, serves as a positive Ambassador for UH Athletics and UH in general.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional disciplines. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related, 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
