Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
- Prior experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Professional or NCAA Division I level
- Ability to explain training methods and equipment use
- Knowledge of the design of strength and conditioning programs
- Ability to meet established goals and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, both days of the weekend and extended hours
- Certified by either the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC or Master SCC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree with additional consideration to applicants who possess a Master’s degree
- Prior experience with Professional or Division I baseball
Job Description
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Head Olympic Strength and Conditioning Coach
Job Duties
- Directs the oversight, development and management of individual and group strength and conditioning programs for all Olympic sports programs within Texas State Athletics
- In conjunction with Sports Medicine team, create and lead an environment that supports health, welfare, and physical development of Student Athletes
- Direct and manage assistant strength coaches for Olympic sports
- Coordinate regular and appropriate lines of communication with student-athletes, sports medicine staff, sport coaches, and senior staff
- Baseball will be primary sport assignment
