Job Summary
The position will oversee the daily operations of fueling stations located in the FICE, Ubben, and Demirjian athletic facilities. This role ensures that all nutrition fueling stations meet health and safety standards, are well-stocked, and provide quality nutrition support to student-athletes. Working in collaboration with the Sports Nutrition staff, the manager will also oversee student volunteers.

• Ensure all fueling stations are cleaned and sanitized daily in compliance with university and health department regulations

• Oversee and train student volunteers, including managing schedules, providing guidance, and ensuring accountability.
• Collaborate with Registered Dietitians to support supervision and education of interns.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges and continuously seek improvements to fueling station services - Inventory –
• Take regular inventory and place timely, accurate supply orders to maintain appropriate stock levels
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years (24 months) of experience in inventory work.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in university or athletics nutrition support setting
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards o ServSafe Certification o Allergen Awareness
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with student-athletes, coaches and staff
• Flexibility in work schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed
• Experience in a collegiate athletic department or fueling station environment
• Basic understanding of sports nutrition and athlete fueling needs
• Comfortable using inventory tracking systems and ordering software
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 3291 - Inventory Specialist position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 8/11/2025. Salary range is $42,000 - $45,000 is commensurate with experience.
