Senior Assistant to the Basketball General Manager

VCU Athletics is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as Senior Assistant to the Basketball General Manager. This part-time role supports the ongoing success and development of our Men's Basketball (MBB) program by assisting with recruitment, team logistics, staff mentorship and alumni engagement.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Advise and assist with the coordination and acquisition of recruits
Support the planning and organization of team and staff meetings
Coordinate outreach efforts with alumni and manage alumni program activities
Assist in scheduling and communication with other teams
Provide guidance and mentorship to MBB staff
Organize and lead monthly group and individual meetings with MBB staff and Student-Athletes

Required Qualifications:

5–8 years of relevant experience
Prior NCAA Division I basketball experience, preferably as a coach
Strong organizational and communication skills
