Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Video Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Associate AD for External Relations & Strategic Initiatives and other key stakeholders in the department to manage the video, video sharing, and graphics needs for teams and areas within Murray State Athletics.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage all video-related activities for athletic teams in the department.
• Coordinate the taping of games via television, internet and other social media outlets.
• Plan all film exchange with opponents.
• Download games via Synergy Sports (and/or other applicable video technology platforms based on sport) and load onto coaching staff computers.
• Use appropriate sports specific software to create video clips for use by coaches, players, and social media
• Prepare video edits of individual players for the coaching staff in each sport to review with student-athletes during their weekly meetings.
• Prepare video edits of potential recruits for the coaching staff to review.
• Create highlight films for graduating student-athletes to assist with their professional career opportunities.
• Maintain an organized library system for filing all practice, workouts, games, and opponent scouting folders.
• Assist student-managers (in sports where applicable) with their film duties at practice and games.
• Use scouting specific software to assist with opponent scouting reports.
• Assist coaching staff with social media branding of the program.
• Assist coaching staff with on campus recruiting visits and other recruiting duties.
• Assist coaching staff with future scheduling by creating video edits on potential opponents.
• Responsible for communicating, promoting sports program via social media.
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Associate AD for External Relations & Strategic Initiatives.
• As a member of the Murray State University Athletic Department, you shall comply with all applicable NCAA rules and regulations as provided in the NCAA Division I Manual. If you are found in violation of NCAA regulations, you shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant repetitive violations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of intercollegiate athletics
• Effective communication, both written and oral
